I got a letter from EFG Technologies today saying: Congratulations! You have successfully completed the loan rehabilitation program as established by the department of education and your lending institution. As a result of your successful rehabilitation of this loan, your eligibility for title IV loans has been reestablished. In addition credit bureaus will be notified to remove the default of this loan from your credit history. Thank you for completing the rehabilitation program. IF you have any questions, please contact us at the toll-free number listed above. Sincerely, Andrea Thompson. Cool! This loan was not officially in default. After the deferments were applied it was reported as 60 or 90 days late depending on the bureau. They were very helpful and easy. My payment were $30/mo and I set this up with the college/lender. The loan amount was $2270. You see rehab does work. Hang in there guys. Get it in writing.
Great Roni! I have a paid collection with EFG that I am working on getting deleted. I have done the dispute method to no avail, and now I am going to contact them directly. I consolidated my loan with them into another loan, which apparently did not rehab it. cariba
