My brother-in-law is 22 and has NO CREDIT. What is a good card for him to start with?

If he belongs to a credit union, have him get a c.c. through them. They'll probably start him off with secured, then unsecure after 6 to 12 months. Capital One would also be a good start.

Add him as an authorized user of some of your accounts. Don't need to give him a card. After the tradeline(s) appears in his reports he could apply for Mobil, RShack, Target or other easy retail cards.

Then in four or five months he should apply for a Target Visa, Amex Starwood or Delta.
