I just sigend up for EQ CreditWatch and they do not have any employment history on my file. I have been employed all these years without any (zip, zero, nada, etc.) gaps between employers. Question: a) How would that impact the score? b) Do I need to correct this error? c) If yes, should I write to them? I do not even know how the employment appears on EQ file. Do they need to entire details as to employer name, address, join date etc.? d) How are these employment records created in the CRA files. Is the employer supposed to send them information at the beginning and end of your employment? Thanks for your inputs.
Why would you want your employer listed? I sure wouldn't. You would want someone to know where you work and maybe get too much information about you? No way I would. Protect what you have left of your privacy.
Re: NO empl hist on EQ - impact sco EFX is in the process of removing employment information from its consumer credit reports. They've decided they don't want it in their files anymore. Saar
Oh thanks Kiyi , I never thought of it that way. I was thinking that if there are employers on file, that would mean stable source of income and hence good factor in the score. Who would want to extend credit to someone unemployed for a long time. So I did not want to look like an unemployed person. But when you say it that way, it makes some sense. Privacy is a good reason. So, if I add the employer name (and screw my privacy) will it bump up the score........? btw, kiyi, i just visited your store. looks pretty good. i liked the mandarin stuff and the chimes of course...
Re: NO empl hist on EQ - impact sco basically, i should not worry about not having employers on file and that being the reason for low score. right saar? good to know they are removing it all together.
Re: NO empl hist on EQ - impact sco Yeah I would get rid of any information that means something to u, these are credit reports. Not personal history about where you work, how you drive, or who you are married to. As for this effecting your score, it might, might not, I heard if the wind blows from north to south or a warm day it will cause the score to double! but who knows.
Re: NO empl hist on EQ - impact sco Saar, Is it absolutely for sure that EQ is removing employment infor from credit reports? How do you find this out?
