If you have been on time and no over the limit I would imagine Mr. Cooke would at least double it.

I just asked them for an increase via C.S. and couldn't get it. The next day I recieved a pre-approved application in the mail fora platinum.

I'm not worthy of an increase after 22 months but am worthy of a new card(and fee).

    I'm calling Cooke Wed.

    here's a tip:

Ask for a $1K Balance transfer at the same time.. They want your BT $$ so they are more likely to give you an increase equal.

I just did this and got $1K increase

    i just got this today..

I PFB'd Capitol One about my gold card about a week ago. I only had 200.00 limit so i bitched and they increased to 500.00 with same shitty interest rate 18.9%. So i said well that was easy why not send another PFB about upgrading my gold to platinum and 1000.00 cl so i can bt about 700.00 from these other 2 cards and this is the response i got.. does this mean no!!!

It does NOT mean no. It's a good sign that Mr. Cooke wants to discuss with you the details. This is a normal response from the executive office after receiving a PFB. Just go ahead and call the number. Mr. Cooke is on your side.
