Re: Re: Re: Re: No longer employed at cc company To answer your first question, CSR's are slaves to what the computer spits back at them. If it qualifies for an an increase it qualifies, if it doesn't, then it simply doesn't. There's no ambiguity... Best stategy for a cli...pay in full and on time consistently. Make sure the credit line you're requesting is a figure that you could pay back. In other words, don't bother asking for a credit line of $10000 if your income is $20000, or a credit line of $25000 if your income is $40000. It was always a running joke between reps when cm's called in requesting a credit line of 20K and they only made 20K a year. Decline! The last question, usually no. We rarely saw accounts qualify for an immediate increase within 6 months without a hard inquiry; there just isn't enough history to justify the increase. Risk was always the underlying factor for a credit line increase. Did the customer have the ability to pay the debt back...?
Re: Re: Re: Re: No longer employed at cc company I would love to know what is the max amount of Citi N/A cards you can carry?? I have been told repeatedly 3 cards max, however my better half was told it was 2 and I have seen others that have more than 3?? Just curious,
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: No longer employed at cc company I have two cards and have recieved denial letters for a third because I have the max amount (2). However, some have still been able to get more than two. I don't get it. Maybe I applied during a period where they were only allowing two cards per holder.? -0m
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: No longer employed at cc company It's not the number of actual credit cards with Citibank, it's the amount of total credit lines between all the accounts...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: No longer employed at cc company I must be the luckiest person in the world. Got my Citi card in October for $5,000 (after PFB). In January, they bumped me to $6,300 out of the clear blue sky.
