This is a real bummer, Experian doesn't hardly even respond online and now we are going to do it via mail, GOD help us all
Yep -- for the hell of it I got a report number and tried to go through their public online dispute system. It's not allowing disputes either. Hopefully this is a glitch. Maybe they're just so backed-up with disputes that they needed to shut down the online system to catch up.
I wasn't able to because of filing the lawsuit...but the attorney assured me I would be able to in a month....bummer
I called CE this afternoon and found out two things: 1) The account dispute function has been temporarily disabled because they are in the process of redesigning the website and in the process of doing this ran into some technical difficulties (don't know if this is the *real* story, but this is what I was told by a rep). They expect to have this function restored by tommor hopefully. 2) Inquiry disputes are gone. The reason for this is because (according to the rep) if you disputed an inquiry once and it came back verified, you could dispute it again and it would automatically be deleted regardless. She said that this is not what they were told by the powers that be, but this was just her observation. She said that the scenario only plays out when inquries were disputed online. Thought this info may be of interest to those of us that use CE on a daily basis like myself.
I can verify that this is not true. Many times I have disputed the same inquiry twice and had it verified both times.
