No more Robin

    I got denied for the BofA card last week. E-mailed and called Robin with a plea for reconsideration. Got a second generic denial letter in the mail today (signed by someone else). Called Robin again, this time she picked up. She seemed rather baffled by the fact that I had her direct number, as well as by my very request for reconsideration of application denial. These are her exact words:

    â??I am not sure if I can help you. I am no longer in the position where I can do anything about that. I am sorry for the misinformation that you received.â?

    Just passing the word on.

    Thats too bad. Robin was a true asset in her previous position.

    I think she is probably bluffing as I used her last week to get an approval for another card. She is probably getting tons of calls and emails about people wanting to be reconsidered that she probably doesn't even have time to use the bathroom.

    Once a good thing gets out there and considering this is the WWW, everyone is calling her!

    I would try back in a couple of weeks and see what she says.

    Not sure if I want to do that. I mean, the power of phone calls cannot be underestimated, and I have no problem calling people if I think they can help, but she sounded really discouraging. You are probably right, must have been bad timing on my part. Or else she truly doesn't want to (or cannot) deal with this sort of thing anymore.

    What a bummer though. I was really hoping she could help.

    One thing I did do once Robin helped me was I wrote to the president of BoFA and told him how much of a pleasure and help Robin was an that she was a real asset to her company.

    The president wrote me back and signed it personally stating that he agreed and was glad to have me as a customer, BoFA would not let me down and that he would certianly thank and forward a copy of my letter to Robin.

    As luck would have it I had to call Robin a week later about getting my other BoFA card and not only did she help me get it but as soon as I told her who I was she thanked me greatly for the nice letter I wrote to her boss.

    This can only help!

    Try Planet Feedbacking BoFA again and see if she responds.
