Congrats, matty. Since you don't have any TransUnion inquiries left you can begin working on mine. I have seven mortgage inquiries. :)

Did you use the online strategy mentioned in an earlier post. Company name and date for Acct #.

I just used that method two days ago for TU and EQ. I thought I invented it. LOL

    HOW?????

I tried doing a few online (only have a few to get rid of) and got the computer generated letter

"Companies do not need a signature etc....to have a permissible purpose.blah blah blah...

Basically "IF IT'S THERE, IT MUST EXIST AND YOU'RE STUCK WITH IT!"

Please tell me how you managed that!

Ok, here's how I did it. I did in between doing this method get a couple pre-formatted letters from the company. The key is to continue sending the disputes, and you will get someone to eventually remove them. Here's the format, and I think it was Bkev's method, but I'm not completely sure.

*Under Company name, list the company that inquired into your report. I put it exactly as appeard on the inquiries section, for example, if it appears Fleet CC, DON'T put Fleet Credit Card, they may be too stupid to know what you're asking, just a precaution :)
*Under Account, put SUBSCRIBER INQUIRY, Date of the inquiry
*Under reason, put "This is not a permissible purpose. This is not my account. Please delete"

Good luck and everyone let me know how it turns out. I've also realized that usually the inquiries are deleted within 2-4 days after submitting the dispute.

Tried it twice, didn't work. Did contact several of those companies who pulled the unauthorized inquiries. TU sent the standard form letter that they don't investigate inquiries. Received a letter back from one of the companies that stated I have to go through the CRA's. I feel like a parent in the middle of two sibblings fighting with each other!

Damn, i'm sorry. All I can say is try again. I even sent the dispute one night, and again the next. I guess it's just the luck of the draw as to who sees it. Whatever you do, DONT GIVE UP. Also, in the comments section, write something to this touch "I appreciate your services taking the time to update my credit report to reflect my correct credit history." Just write something to that effect.

Except in this case, we don't really care if the children kill each other.

Tried the Bkev method a dozen times - never worked for me.

I think I will sell tickets to this event! Anyone care to come watch it? LOL

I plan on sending both the letter from the subscriber and the TU letter back to TU along with a letter of my own and see what happens.

I wonder what would happen if a consumer calls the creditor first, creditor says contact CRA regarding inquiries, then, using 3-way calling, calls the CRA with the creditor still on the line, asks the CRA to delete, CRA says contact the creditor, and consumer says, "oh gee whiz will you look at that, they're on the line with us right now..."
