I sent a letter to Capital One via PFB asking them to remove my recent lates once I paid the balance in full, and re-active my card at its original limit.

Sent letter on April 1. No reply, but I went ahead and paid in full.
Sent another letter on April 18, letting them know that I did my part and could they do anything for me. Still no reply.

Anyone else not get a reply from Planet Feedback?

It's fine if they wont do it, I would just like to know so I can figure out something else for these recent lates.

    thanking in advance.

    peace,
    delilah

Same here - sent a letter via PFB to Cap1 about CL ($200 for 16 mos. no lates, no increase) in the 1st week in April - no reply as of yet. Frustrating.

I think PFB side of Cap One is running behind. I recently read where it took a couple of weeks from letter to phone call.

    Have patience.

    hmmm ...
well maybe they just haven't gotten around to me yet.

I was glad to hear that others also haven't heard so its not just me ...
but then again, it means several of us are in limbo.

let us know if you hear anything and I'll do the same.

    peace,
    delilah

I've PFB'd CapOne twice to ask them to raise the credit limit on my cc. The only response I received was to my first request. It took them three weeks to reply and it basically said that it would take them another two weeks to respond to me. I never heard anything else. I sent my second PFB letter three weeks ago, and again, no response. Very strange.

I did send a PFB letter to BofA and they sent me a very nice personalized letter. CitiBank did the same, but their letter wasn't so very nice at all. Discover responded very quickly and gave me a second mailing address to send good will letter. They never responded to my mailed letter. Ho Hum....

For Cap1, if all else fails, you may want to call their retention department and request that the close your account. That often gets the desired results. You can always back-out of the cancellation at the last minute if you have to.

If these are Mr. Cooke's phone numbers (the usual keeper of PFB), the more experienced on this board have always said, do not call him, wait for him to call you. He is very busy, and you start off on the wrong foot if you try to rush him.

I really don't know who these R numbers connect to - they're just listed for Cap 1 (no name attached). Your point about Mr. Cooke is a good one for those with Cap 1 cards.

Hmmm... Speak of the devil, Mr. Cooke just called me. Guess it just takes a little time for him to respond to everyone. Hard to be patient, though, when you're in limbo!! Anyhow, I didn't get exactly what I wanted, but he was super nice.

1-800-955-1455 EXT 6418<----Only call MR COOKE if you have already talked to him in the past...

JUST WAIT FOR MR COOKE TO RESPOND...if he can do what you want...he will.

I PFB'd Cap1 about a cl increase in December, didn't hear anything from them until February when they wrote to let me know I received the increase.

Honestly, not to be critical, but why tie up PFB with credit line increases? It seems there are plenty of other ways to go about getting one, why back them up when there are people that have real problems and or legitimate concerns that are submitting? I apologize if I'm not seeing the whole picture, and I do wish you luck with your letters.

You can call the 800# after 9-12 months of "ON TIME PAYMENTS" and press some numbers on the phone for an automatic credit limit increase...

Re: Re: no reply from PFB

Right, I do see your point. The way I see it is that PFB is for exactly what it says it is for: feedback - and to me, feedback can be positive or negative and ecompasses both major and minor issues. In my case, I'd already requested a CL increase last August through Cap1's automated telephone system. The increase was declined, which is fine, but I was concerned and frustrated that they never sent any sort of communication to me regarding the increase or their reasons for declining it. When I sent my PFB recently, I didn't make the letter public. And, yes, a CL is minor compared to other problems... But, Mr. Cooke was very nice and respectful to me (and my paultry $200 CL), told me to keep his # if I ever had any concerns regarding my account and he would gladly handle it personally. Really, I think this is about developing an amicable relationship with the consumer and, in turn, developing consumer loyalty. Smart: Say someday my CL is much higher and I have a MAJOR problem with Cap1 - I would probably be more likely to first try to solve it w/ Mr. Cooke or someone like him than lambasting them publicly on PFB for everyone to see.... Anyhow, just my 2 cents. =)

Re: Re: no reply from PFB

If you have had a card for 3 years and have been declined for a CL increase everytime you call and request one by phone...this is a legitimate problem and PFB is just one more way to address it. It is a customer retention issue, and it is not trivial (to them or to us). Besides, I do not think these requests necessarily "clog" the PFB pipeline... my DH had a charge-off w/ Cap1 and he wrote to settle it at the same time I sent my request for a CL increase. It took them one week to address his letter, whereas it took several months to address mine. So it seems they give priority to PFBs of urgent concern (as they should).

Am I the only one who never gets the automated line? Just my luck or do the "not so special cards" comes with the added privelege of having to grovel with a live CSA to get an increase (I bailed both times before they connected)
