    Hi all,

I'm wondering what my next move should be. Three weeks ago, I sent out a settlement offer for the last remaining delinquent account on my CR, and have gotten no response. What should I assume? Prior to the letter I had called and could not reach an agreement. It's an old Citibank account that's been accruing interest. Was $400, now $2500. Collection agent wouldn't budge under a $1,000, which is just unconscionable to me. My offer was for $500. Now what do I do?

I would suspect that they are not accepting the offer. They are probably not taking the time to write you. You would probably have to call them about it. $500 is really low. Couldn't you have tried to meet them half way. If they didnot want to go below $1k, couldn't you have offered $800 as a tease. Just a thought.

    roni.
