    Hi,
I disputed about 7 items each with TRU, EX, and EQ. I have the results back from TRU, but not a word from EX or EQ. The 30 days limit is now up, and I haven't heard from them. What do I do.. what's my next step?

This is the first time I've disputed anything, so I'm not sure how these things are supposed to go. Any info will be appreciated!

    Thanks a bunch!

Did you print out the page showing the date you placed the items in dispute? If so, go ahead and call EX and EQ and tell them its over 30 days and they need to delete.
The reason I bring up the printing of the page confirming that date of initiating the dispute is because the CRA may attempt to BS its way out of the investigation results by claiming you started the dispute "2 weeks ago, or 3 weeks ago," or anything that will give them just one more day to "verify".

I can tell you what equifax will say because they have done this to me 4 times now. They will say they never received it or received one page but are missing your signature. They are famous for doing this. Now I fax in everything to them as proof.

If you did it online and have proof of date of confirmation dispute was initiated, it doesn't matter what EQ says. They had 30 days, now it's time to delete.

If you disputed through the mail, you should always send CRRR or signature confirmation just so you have proof od the date they received your dispute.

BTW, Why would they need your signature?

Thanks for the responses you guys. Well, I did the disputes online, and as beginners luck would have it, the only one I actually did print out was TRU, and ironically I have their results back.

Experian didn't give me a print out page, so I didn't print it. As for EQ, I had to go through CSC as it says on their website that EQ cant take disputes online in my area. So I called in the disputes. I documented the dates, so thats the only thing that tells me when I actually filed the dispute.

On thing however is that, my latest credit report from EQ is showing that "consumer disputes information... etc.

I could call them tomorrow about it, but thing is, not all of them are stuff I need to be deleted. Out of the 7, I only need complete deletes on 3 of them. The others are accounts with a 5 yrs+ history with 30 days late here and there that I disputed as "never late". So of course, I wouldn't want them to delete those especially since the lates are over 2 years old.

So what would you do or say if you don't need complete deletes on all of them? Thanks again!!

Using your 5+ year old accounts with only a few 30 day lates here and there as an example: You would dispute as "never late", that way if the OC does not verify, the CRA should simply delete the late pays, not the whole account.
