I sent a letter each to Equifax and Experian at the end of April and received no response from Experian. Equifax responded early May stating they were looking into it. Here it is June 11th and I haven't received a thing from either. I did not send them RRR. I am going to chalk up the Experian as a wash, but since I received a response from Equifax, what should be my next course of action?

Without it being sent RRR, you can't prove when it was received, if it was received at all.

Caselaw says that unless it was returned, you can presume that it was received in about 5 business days from when it was sent.

Now, it depends on when it was sent in April, it could be still pending, or in the mail.

You don't get a guaranteed response in 30 days or less.

Take the 5 days for receipt.
Add the 30 days for the investigation.
Add the 5 days for them to print out the results of the investigation.
Add another 5 days to receive the results of the investigation.
So there is a minimum of 45 days.

If the dispute was as a result of the FACR report, add yet another 15 days which they are allowed to take for FACR-based investigations.
For a minimum of 60 days.

    Simply wait . . .

This is the thrust of sending disputes via CMRRR.
