My Mom sent a letter to an OC that verifed an item with the CRAs that is older than seven years. i sent the OC a dispute letter asking how this could be when the debt is in fact more than seven years old. It has been more than thirty days and she has gotten no response. Should she send an estoppel letter next because by thier silence they waived their rights?
Did she dispute the account as obsolete? If the DOLA is older than 7 years it should be a slam dunk, unless the account had been re-aged. Gib
What is the date of DOLA on the account being reported to the CRA's? Are you absolutely sure it is really being reported as 7 years ago? That would be the only reason that it would be hard to delete. Are you sure what the DOLA really is or how the CRA's are reporting it? See what the CRA's have to say about how old the account really is!
I know it is older than 7 years but I cant prove it. Thats why I sent the letter to the OC and they havent responded (the CRAs wont remove it either). EX did but EQ wont. What is my next step? Is it appropriate to use estoppel to the OC?

Re: Re: No response from OC You could always sue them and then file a motion for them to produce the documents. That might turn out to be the easiest way.
