Ugh, I just had a tradeline with a bunch of 90 day lates, 60 day lates, 30 day lates, etc removed, along with 2 collections, and my score is still the same as it was a few weeks ago?

594 then, 594 now. Same balances on credit cards (at zero, one at $100 or so).

This makes no sense to me :\

How old were the credit lines that were deleted?

If they were old, say 6 years ago then the effect might be nothing or minor.

    One was about 4 years
The two collections that were removed would have been, hmm, about 2 years old.

That seems like it should have significantly changed things :\

that sounds strange...and it doesn't make a lot of sense... i have had older baddies removed and my scores change significantly...even ones that are more than 5 years old...

how many accounts do you have open? if you have a lot of accounts with little CLs, this can also affect you badly... also, look at how many inquiries are on your reports....

For what it's worth (from a newbie who is working HARD on her credit), the other day I mentioned on here that my mortgage broker said it takes 90 days for the scores to recycle after a change (what type of change, I'm not sure, maybe she was talking lates, who knows). I know some people see the scores change quickly but maybe that is not always the case. If there really is a formula out there (as wacked out as it is), I would think your scores would improve at some point with fewer negatives.

Well I've still got 3 collections, a charge off, and a few late payments (although the tradeline that I got rid of definitely got rid of like 10 lates or whatever, while my other accounts have like 3 at most)

I would have thought that 2 collections and a horrible horrible tradeline like that would have increased the score significantly :ugh:

This certainly isn't helping your score.
