no way out?

I have successfully avoided vehicle repossession since 2005. Not that I was intentionally avoiding the lender, it just happened that way. I was just out of college and moving around and job hopping from city to city. I guess I just assumed the lender would find me. So that never happened. Now I'm a little older and scared out of my mind.
I've tried to do research on my own and I'm really not getting anywhere. My credit reports show that the loan was charged off in 2005. I even pulled the carfax, which shows repossessed in 2005. I did a search on myself to see if I have any arrest warrants for grand theft auto, which it doesn't appear that I do. I have kept up the maintenance on the vehicle. Kept it insured, registered and inspected using my current physical address and phone number.
I'm ready to face the music. I don't keep my car hidden or locked in a garage. I've lived at the same residence for 2 years and haven't changed jobs or phone numbers... So what's going to happen now? I don't even know who to call to settle the debt or turn over the vehicle. I don't know who owns the lien or if there is a SOL for repo in Texas? The original finance company was based out of Florida, for one of those 'tote the note' places. I paid on time, every time for about a year on a 3 year note.
I really just want to clear this up and pay for the mistakes of my youth. Any ideas on where to start?

The lien holder should be listed on the title.

Don't leave any valuables in the vehicle. Keep cab money in your wallet and go about life.
