You get a summons/ complaint in the mail,it does not come cmrrr, there is no court address, the summons/complaint does not have an official signature or stamp or seal showing it is a legal document and not a fake, there is no instructions on how to answer or where to send your answer. Some people never even know they are being sued because ca's will send the summons/complaint to an old address on purpose. The summons says if you fail to answer in 20 or 30 days a default judgment may be granted. Most people don't have a clue on how to answer a complaint that would be exceptable to the court. Can your answer be sent by mail?If yes must it be sent cmrrr? must your answer if sent by mail be notorized?or must you appear in person to answer the summons/complaint?Is there certain papers you must bring or send with your answer? Can your answer be rejected by the court for not being properly filled out?If yes will the court notify you and give you more time to respond?Finding out how to get all these answers is left up to the defendent.Don't know how? tough! Here is your default judgment now go figure out what your suppose to do next!!!!!
I asked for some replies a while back but, my inclination is that this is the same Plaintiff doing this to everyone. I wonder if it's happening in the same jurisdiction.
