I received my New Nordstrom Platinum Visa today from mail and it came in big blue dot envelope. Inside the envelope , it has the card, card agreement, welcome letter. The card has number starting with 4266 3800 **** ***** and it is a Platinum Visa card with $2000 CL with 15.15% APR for purchases and $500 Cash Line. It is a white ivory metallic card and it is very good looking. It said the "NORDSTROM PLATINUM" in the middle of the card. Ron.

Yes, this APR is high! According to Nordstrom's website, they are offering a four tier level interest rate; 8.15% being the lowest and 19.15% as their highest. when I called them to upgrade my retail card to the platinum, they gave me their highest rate! Their reasoning was that I had not used their credit card in over a year which resulted in them giving me the 14.99% plus prime. They did, however, increased my CL to $4000 from $3000 and mentioned that I could call in a few months for a rate reduction. Mazani
kevin, Thanks for cheer me up. I won't give up to apply for Chase i-Card after six months. I'm going to use my Nordstrom Platinum Visa today. Do you mind to tell me what is the limit of your Nordstrom Visa? I think we got the same rate and I hope that to ask for lower rate after 3 months to 6 months of usage just like my Target Visa (9.9% fixed). Ron.
Geo, I don't think they have any intro rate on this card and they give you the prurchase rate based on your credit history. By the way, they couldn't contact me at work and they denied me my application. I called them back to verify info and then they approved me. I think it is tougher than the card that I have previously applied. By the way, they offer instant approval and I didn't get instant approval. I got 7 to 10 business day notice from mail instead. kevin, I just found out they pulled another hard inquiry from Transunion in the following day. I applied on 5/18 and they pulled credit from Experian and 5/19 they pulled another inquiry from Transunion. I don't know they pulled two different credit report from two different credit bureaus. Only bank they pulled two credit reports was NextCard and of course they went out of business. Nordstrom Platinum Visa looks like tough to get. Kevin, I don't know they did the same thing like they did to me. It cost me two inquiries to get card and the CL is not high and the rate is high. Ron.
Hello Ron, When I first got approve for the Nordstrom Visa Card it was back in Mar of this year with a cr line of $3000 and 14.90% they pull exp on me and that is it... I apply at the store and got instant approval.. this month I ask them if I can get upgraded to Platinum the rep saids yes but no apr reduction is still the same 14.90% anyways the card is really good looking I already got alot of people saying how cool it looks when I went to the outlet stores today... lol... boy it was so crowded hard to find a parking space.... anyways hope this helps and I am sorry to hear that they pull 2 inqs on you.... kevin, That's alright. It had happned to me before they pulled two credit reports from two different credit bureaus. We don't have Nordstrom stores over here in San Antonio and I used to have their retail store cards in Los Angeles back in 83. I haven't used the card even one time and they closed it in 93 because it is inactive account. They found out that I used to have Nordstrom store card when they approved for my Platinum Visa account. I told them that I haven't used it once and it shouldn't have a problem for them to approve my application. I guess you have better rate and I asked for a better rate. They told me to try after four to six months and their customer service is pretty nice. By the way, I applied for Fleet Titanium Card and they pulled my credit report from Experian. Got message "You will get response within 7 to 10 business days from the mail." This is the last card that I'm going to get. Ron.
Hello Ron, Good luck to you on the Fleet Titanium Card.. I notice that you have several cards with Fleet and I think that you will get the Titanium Card! I have two cards and when I call to request for a credit line increase on my Titanium the rep ask me if I wanted to apply for a 3rd card lol.... please let me know what happens okay.... and yes on the Nordstrom Platinum Visa call them in a few months to see if they can offer you a lower rate... anyways hope you are having a good Memorial Day... kevin, Thanks, I applied for Fleet Titanium Card yesterday and they give me any instant decision. They pulled credit report from Experian and I think the computer pulled the credit report. They need to wait for manual processing. I have Savings Bond Card, Fusion Card and Instant Advantage Platinum and sometimes they may denied in some reason. Ron.
Hello Ron, Good Luck to you on the Fleet Titanium Card I know you will get it! anyways I did get an approval on the bmw platinum visa card... $3500 cr line and 10.25% apr no into rates... the only reason I know I was approve is because creditexpert notify me some change in my credit report as soon as I log on it saids bmw bank reported a new bankcard so I pull a credit report and is showing the account already wow they are fast.... still waiting on the travelocity mc no denials letters yet... please let me know about fleet Titanium Visa Card okay.... One time I wanted to apply for the card and then I decided not to apply for one because I found no use for one. Did they pulled credit report from TU or Equifax? Hello Ron, Thank You! yup they pull only exp on me at the time the score was around 735 or so with like 9 inqs last six mons... anyways no I did'nt get the reward card just the regular platinum their rewards has an annual fee like $50 a year.... anyways did'nt get anything on travelocity mc yet... no denied letters or cards yet.... kevin, I haven't checked the status of Fleet Titanium and they may not having anything yet. I just logged on the Citibank USA Netscapecard and I found out they increased credit limit from $9K to 12K that I requested last week. Good luck on Travelocity World MC application. I don't know how difficult to get the card from Citibank USA and I have two accounts from them ( Netscapecard and HHonors Visa Signature Card). I like HHonors Visa Signature Card that give me rewards like hotel stay and merchandise rewards. It has no annual fee and no pre-set spending limit like Travelocity World MC. Ron.
