I received a Nordstrom card in Feb. Great customer service when you contact them. The cash back feature is convenient when the card is new and a consumer like me is using the card to change status from R0 to R1.

Nordstrom is slow to post payment however. This took me by surprise.

    Anyway, just an update.

Nordstrom have some sort of on line way of paying? I know Macy's does. They use http://www.transpoint.com

I use them for my Sallie Mae student loan, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Chevron.

You can pay Nordstrom over the phone with either a debit card or a check-by-phone. I do it every month by calling the customer service dept. of my local store. If you are doing it by check-by-phone, though, the local store will have to transfer you up to their main headquarters. Your payments get posted immediately and I have never had a problem paying my bill this way. It only takes a couple of minutes to do it, just have your Nordstrom card number and your debit card/checking account info on hand.
