   What happens if you apply for a CC, they send it to you and you decided not to activate the card. If I call and cancel the card before activating how will that show up on the credit reports?

   It may depend on the card. We've done that with Cap1 and Citibank and they always appeared on the credit report.

   I have had this happen as well. Didn't activate the card but it was reported anyway.
