I don't recommend him to anyone. He lies!!! He said they don't let people pay a settlement amount for an R-5 rating...even after numerous people have posted here that he does. He said you have to pay in full 100% and the R-5 is only a courtesy (I know that). So why should I pay them 100% when I can pay the collection agency (who isn't even reporting yet) much less and still keep my same ole' R-9 or R-99 or whatever the hell they choose to give me? I take the blame, I messed up and let the cards go..but geez he seems to give everyone else a break. He gives increases and APR decreases out the wazoo and won't cut me a deal...OK.
Sounds like he will give the R-5 after the fact? He seemed like a good guy when I talked to him. I wish you the best.
Hush your mouth, dude is a Arch Angel. If they did it for others why wouldn't they do it for you. Call back and try again. I've seen this guy work miracles on my account just by me being polite and asking.
I have talked to him 3 times in the past 5 days. I have been nothing BUT nice. I offered to pay the 100% but simply asked why I can't get the R-5 rating. He says "we don't do that". Then later he says "we only do that as a courtesy". I give up!!! I'm getting them clean, I hope. There are only 5 negs left on EX and that is in a lawsuit, about 11 on EQ and that is another lawsuit and TU will be filed on tomorrow. I may be down to nothing but Cap One and will pay the settled amount with the CA and be stuck with the R-9 rating for however much longer.
I've seen the posts here about changing the rating and I'm listening to you post what he's telling you. It sounds like he "cannot" tell you that he "will" do it. It sounds like a gamble but with his track record I think you have good odd's.
