Re: Re: Not subject to FDCPA I say go for it!! And I think the number is probably higher than 43%. I also think if you really learned the laws, you could make a good income doing this. Just get the word out that you're a consumer advocate and we'll come flocking to your door.
Re: Re: Re: Not subject to FDCPA You just put a big grin on my face, which is hard to do in the midst of hearing my 1-year-old screech like something was being amputated, my 6 year old runing through the halls making exploding sounds, and my wife ask "How was your day?" all at the same time. Ahh, the life of a parent and husband. Ain't it great? For me, to get into law, I need to finish another 2 years of school, to get my undergrad, and then attend law school. Kinda hard, considering my spouse is a homemaker, and I work full time as an auto tech for Mercedes-Benz. I guess the saying applies of "Where there's a will, there's a way." There always has been. We've been blessed like that.
I heard that a recent study of approx. 1,500 persons showed 43% of them had inaccuracies in their credit reports. Col. K0rn | =================== It's more like 70%. guess what Credit scoring is based on. How accurate is scoring then? *** Victims of Credit Reporting *** http://members.aol.com/victcrdrpt/Score.html Never read the fine print. There ain't no way you're going to like it.
You're right. What would the standard of correctness be? A blank report? I wonder what the margin of error for the survey was...now my head is beginning to hurt.
Thanks mireland, that jogs my memory. I believe I did sign some papers when I started with them and I am sure that was covered in it. I must have had a synaptic misfire and forgot to take any copies of this home. Ugh, my inner packrat is slapping me all about!
Re: Re: Re: Not subject to FDCPA I agree with Hedwig Korn. I think you should go for it! Take some on line classes or if you have an associates degree, then sometimes you can finish up a bachelors sooner than 2 years. As for the law school part, you'll have to chant to yourself "where there is a will there is a way"....lol! I am finishing up my undergrad degree myself at almost 30 while working full time and after that I will be heading to physical therapy or physicians asst. school. Of course, main difference is I have 2 German shepards that don't make a peep I would love to know a consumer advocate for this credit stuff, I could send a ton of business your way! And Lord knows we need it after spending time on this board and reading about all the crapola Goliath tries to get away with.
: Not subject to FDCPA My niece is a physical therapist and her younger sister is an ultrasound technician. Never read the fine print. There ain't no way you're going to like it.
: Not subject to FDCPA Yes, it took me quite a few years to get my degree as well. Col. K0rn, see lbrown's post on Riddle & Associates, and see what a difference you could make!! Of course, children will make a difference, but I hope you go for it.
: Not subject to FDCPA Nice LB.....yes I think PT school would be my first choice then PA school. I just wish I had made up my mind sooner! It would have been nice to turn 30 starting a new career rather than finally figuring out what I wanted to be when I grow up at around the 30 year mark...lol! Does your niece love it?
