Hi everyone! This is the first time I post a message but, I have been reading the archives on this board for about a month now and I have learned a lot. I need some advice from anyone who cares to give it to me. Here is the situation: When I received my credit reports from TU and EQFX for the first time(about 2 months ago) I received 2 different reports from EQFX and one merged report from TU. The reason I have 2 profiles is because I have used my maiden name and my "married name". I live in Texas and I have actually have never really "married" but there is a "common law marriage" in place here in Texas, so actually all of my identification documents, such as ss# and drivers license are still in my maiden name. The majority of my derogs. are found under my "married name". Here is my question: Would I have a chance of getting the credit file with the derogs. deleted since my ssn# and driv. lic. still identify me by my maiden name? What should I do?
Send in your SSN CARD and DL # copies (fax them, actually) and tell them to delete the other person off your files. No joke. It works.
