I agree, it would be foolish to agree to "settle" for a debt which is NOT YOURS, or if it was, is beyond the 6 year SOL for action, as the last time you have any recollection of dealing with the OC was well over 6 years ago, and the CA has NO record of a later charge or payment on the account.(DO NOT use your credit report as any proof of dates)
