Not verifiable but Experian does?

I have asked the CRA's to verify a few items on my credit reports.

TU and Equifax were unable to verify and deleted. Experian sends me a slip saying verified and remains.

How can Experian get things verified that the other two can not?

    I find this really odd.

I have written to them requesting proof of the verifications.

Has anyone else had this happen?

    LBrown,

    What is wrong with you?

Do you just reply to posts so that your reply number goes up?

People who post questions here deserve to have them answered and if you DO NOT have an answer for them then you should refrain from putting people on the defensive with your DUMB answers.

If your trying to be funny then try harder.

Tired of looking at your stupid responses....

First of all do not fear, EX happens to be my last hold out on a few accounts deleted by the others too. In fact, I have sent them the actual letters from the CA' or the OC requesting deletion and they STILL are verifying.

I guess if I were you (and I may have to do the same thing), I would keep evidence of everything that you have sent them in case it gets to the point of a lawsuit. Give them another call if you have to. What were the circumstances behind the others being deleted? Would the OC or the CA be willing to send you a letter showing their deletion intentions?

    Let me know,

Thank you for your reply and your other post.

I had two collection accounts showing on my reports from a long time ago. One is 1997 and the other is 2000 or so. The 2000 one showed as paid and closed. The other one shows that there is a balance when in fact there is not. To be honest. I was surprised to find either of these on the reports since I had paid them off back in 97 when we had taken out a loan to consolidate everything. When I paid them, they weren't being reported to my reports.

Once I found these on there, I disputed them with each credit reporting agency and asked that they get them verified. I figured that was a good place to start since it had worked on all the other disputes I had filed.

TU and Equifax took just about the full time allowed and wrote back and said unable to verify - removed.

Experian comes back verified - remains.

I fired of a letter to Experian asking to provide the verification proof they received and where it came from. Now I just have to wait and see if they answer.

If I don't hear from them, I will get digging on the records I hopefully still have and get ahold of the CA and/or the OC and go from there.

I have kept copies of everything and I keep meticulous date/time/name records of everything. (the folder keeps growing.. *LOL*)
