Greetings all. I'm baaaack. I haven't been on the board for a while. I see that the CA's and CRA's are up to no good and are tormenting the poor citizens of our country. For those who are new on board and don't know me, I used to answer questions concerning CA's and collection efforts. I really would just share what I have learned over the years in my fights with CA's over delinquent credit card debts. Last year a friend of mine got into financial trouble and asked for my help. So I wrote a guide to fighting CA's and Credit Card companies to help him. I simply put to paper everything I had learned, just like I used to do here. Just for fun, I decided this weekend to publish this guide online as a blog. It's free. There are no ads. Nothing commercial about it. I put it on the web to give hope and inspiration to those who are starting to go through the hell I went through when their CC debts overwhelm them. The blog is here: http://ccdeadbeat.blogspot.com/ I would certainly appreciate any feedback, corrections, etc. I'm not interested arguing the principals behind what I did (ie. right versus wrong). I just want to make people realize that have options. That they can fight. That they can control the situation, and not give in to CA's. Thanks! And keep up the good fight.
I like it! I haven't had a chance to read it all, but i skimmed over it. One thing I didn't see is exactly what you did to avoid them for years. Also, some topics you may want to combine instead of listing seperately. I did notice a few wrongly spelled words that spell check wouldn't have picked up, ie, loose in "Nothing to Loose" should be lose. Overall I like it - basic info in layman's terms. I am impressed you blogged it - i no longer give my info for free (other than here, immediate family and friends).
I'll try to look at it before too long. I'm avoiding my school assignments, but I don't want to avoid THAT much. I hope you'll still post here, cable. A lot of the veterans have left, and jenz and I don't have the time to hang around that we used to.
Welcome back Cable. I've skimmed some of the blog and it'll be quite helpful. One suggestion; I don't know if you realize bk reformed passed and wil take affect on 10/17. A lot of changes and if a creditor knows you make above the median income for your state then a Chapter 7 will be near impossible. That may or may not change your outlook.
Yea I know. I have not had a chance to digest it all yet. They are now going against future income. When I get back in Sept I'll research it and update the site with my thoughts on the matter.
Great blog!! Like your attitude. I myself have gone to war with these scumbags and won in every case. They simply don't have the balls to stand up to anyone who fights back. I have sued Allied Interstate and outside the small claims hearing room, the attorney, who looked 6 months out of law school agreed to remove the credit entry and not to sell the lousy 168 bucks to another CA. She looked relieved not to have her butt handed to her on 5 counts of violating the FCRA. I was prepared to have the case moved up to Federal court and defend myself Pro-se as another way of escalating. I had the motion in hand as was prepared to waste even more time and money for the CA. Little Miss Prada shoe wearing Spanglish speaking attorney knew nothing about the FCRA and she knew it. I went from a 545 FICO to a 685 in 6 months with nothing more a cpl of hundred bucks in lawsuit filing fees and some money for CRR letters. You can win just let them know they can't win a pissing contest with a skunk.
