Now here is a strange one indeed!

Back when I was beating up on EMCC.INC over the X.COM account thing, they were not getting the account deleted from the credit bureaus fast enough to suit me, so I filed a BBB complaint on them.

I finally got an answer from the BBB today which said that the company had already removed the item from my credit bureau files.

So in order to understand what went on with that deal, you will have to take a moment and
    look at http://www.creditwrench.com/works1.html

Then take a look at the BBB letter at
    http://www.creditwrench.com/bbb1.jpg
and see who EMCC.INC or NCO Financial might actually be.

Have you ever heard of such a thing as this and who the heck is this company we never heard of before that I know of.

Anybody got a clue as to who really is behind this bunch of collection agencies?

    Any comments please

When did you file the complaint with BBB? I noticed the date on the letter was 7/23. I may try this.

It was an online complaint to the BBB and I didn't record the date, but it was real close to the date on the letter at
Mabye a few days or a week before I got the letter at

    http://www.creditwrench.com/works1.html

So that date has to be pretty close.
Not more than maybe 2 days prior to receiving the letter from the company shown on the webpage

But who the heck is that video productions company?
Wonder if they are a parent of EMCC.INC and NCO or what?

    Re: NCO!

I don't know if this will help, but the NCO rep told me they were part of Wells Fargo bank. Of course he lied about everything else, so I don't know if this is true or not.

    Bill,

I don't know if this will help but, I met a person last week who works for NCO. I was told that it was a subsidiary of Capital One.

Oh, by the way, their office in Hampton, VA forwards calls to their Florida office so no one in VA can actually go to their offices.

I was also told that all there representatives who work there are clueless and the supervisors try not to have them dispense out too much information.

They are paid on a commission basis depending on how much outstanding debt (real old) they collect.

I heard quite a few horror stories.

    Re: NCO!

Well, I have a few horror stories about NCO--EEMC.INC too.

If you followed both of the links I gave you in my original post, you saw one of them.

Nice part about it is that it is they who have the horror stories to tell about what I did to them several times now.

It's got them so terrified they won't even send a bill anymore.

They know what's going to happen if they do!

    Re: NCO!

Does anyone know yet who they are affiliated with? Is it Wells Fargo or Cap One or someone else? I would really like to know because I still have issues to resolve with them.

What kinds of issues do you have and whom do you have to resolve them with?
