EVERYTHING - and I do mean EVERYTHING has been removed from my DH's TU report. Added on now are 2 paid (on-time) auto loans. His FICO score for TU is 703. We should be excited right? He applied for Chase. They pulled TU, declined due to lack of revolving accounts. He applied for a cc and unsecured loan (small) through our bank. They too pulled TU - and declined. This time citing lack of any open accounts. SIGH He has no derogs, 2+ TLs, but still no ability to obtain credit. Our bank manager is trying to appeal the decision to his superiors - or get them to agree to a lesser amt. He himself can't understand why they declined the request. I am SO frustrated! All this work..... Any suggestions?
bof A usually pulls TU and they have in the past offered CC with no credit history or little history. this and student loans is a great way to start out.
Find a new bank too. I would tell the bank the reason you're using a secured loan is because you don't have open accounts.
Well B of A pulled TU, but also another report that isn't as clean yet. 703 TU but 620ish on the other. They declined. Our bank will do a secured savings, and we will do that, but it's frustrating to have CLEAN and still the denials. His TU went from 0 inquiries to 2 hits. As to a student loan, he says he doesn't want to go back to school. Thanks for the thoughts --- wish B of A had worked.
