I have a couple of nsf checks from 1994 that I am going to include in a Chapter 7 bankrupcy. I thought I read in one of the post's that if you have a check discharged in BK you will never be able to get another checking accout. My nsf are so old that nothing appears on my Chexsystem. Is that true?
Nope. Not true. If you have a check discharged in a BK then what that means is that you have a check discharged in a BK. It is gone and done with. Chexsystems doesn't rely on info from BK courts. Chexsystems, if they got any info on you.....would have received it a long time ago. You said 6 years ago? LOL, well your in luck Chuck! Chexsystems info only stays there for 5 years. As long you have not had any other problems with bad checks or NSF's, Chexsystems will be clean. Got it? SnakeMan
