I'm no expert and have never had much experience with War or the military. SO, if we bomb them with nuc's, do they have the capability to nuc us back? Will one nuc start the destruction of this planet?
That should only be considered as a very last resort. We have the technology to avoid the use of nuclear weapons. Think about neighboring countries and our own allies. Not an option, in my opinion.

While we did initiate the use of nuclear weapons against Japan (and it took two to get them to surrender,) our own nuclear weapons now function mostly as a deterrent. We keep them available for use so that no other power will use nuclear weapons against us.
Isn't much of a deterrent now, huh? I say blow up the MF's responsible. Wipe the whole country off of the face of the earth. When one cell dies another takes over, but if we blow a hundred cells to smithereens, how will the 101st cell know when he/she/it is supposed to take over? The world can use another parking lot. Right in the Middle East. I know that my statement may make some of you angry, but I think that the US has put up with ehough of the BS. At least 15 terrorist attacks since I was born and that is only 25 years ago. That is a pretty shitty average. If we just "punish" those responsible, then who is to say that in 5 years another attack won't happen? I know that I seem naive and ignorant, but maybe that is just my age showing through.. Either way, terrible tragedy.
should the u.s. go after afghanistan, the state that has been harbouring bin laden, which the identified hijackers are linked to, it could very well set off a chain reaction that would ignite ww3 (not world wide web-3). president bush has stated that any state supporting bin laden is just as guilty as the terrorists themselves and will be punished. in the likelihood that the u.s. goes to war w/ afghanistan, the other arabic nations would more than likely side with them rather than remain neutral. It is awfully scary how accurate that is. I have no doubt World War III will occur. But if I remember correctly from Nostradamus's prediction that the Antichrist (as he calls it) eventually falls and peace is attained on earth. I also, believe he mentions something about white rain (nuclear warfare?) falling upon the Earth. From the sound of it I should begin building my bunker or maybe visit the beautiful land of Antarctica. Dani
