Hi, I lost the number for ATT Universal's credit department. I remember it was a 301 number, but I can't remember the rest. It may be the same number as Citibank. Thanks for any and all help. Dani
Citi's credit dept. number is 301-733-5501, but Citi 1-800-950-5114 Customer Service can transfer you there on their dime. I think Citi's credit dept. handles Universal applications.
Okay, I'm not really impressed with Citi/ATT credit department. I called to inquire about my application and received the reply that they have 30 days to process my application and I will receive my approval/decline letter via mail. If I don't receive an answer in 30 days then I can call about to check the status. Don't they know that when applying for a loan, CC, whatever that two weeks feels like 30 days? Dani
Tell them you are going on VACATION next week and you want to know if your neighbor has to check the mail for it every day...it's the only card you are expecting...(YOU DON'T WANT IT SITTING IN THE MAIL BOX TOO LONG)... ...OR "I WOULD RATHER BE TOLD DENIED, THAN HAVE TO WAIT 2 OR 3 MORE WEEKS FOR THE CARD".
Phooey.. call back and talk to a different rep - just say you're calling to check the status of your application. When they ask how long it's been, just say 'a while'..... Worked for me today when I called Fleet (another 0% deal!! - there goes my score again...<sigh>... anyway.. I applied online and got that 'we'll let you know' junk.. well it sucks waiting so I called 3 days later. First person I talked to said I was declined OBVIOUSLY because if I was approved I would have been given a credit limit right away. Well, I didn't like that answer (still recouperating from getting declined by Juniper) and called back. Talked to a very, very nice guy who put me on hold and came back and told me I was approved for $5,000. =-) I explained that I didn't see an inquiry on any of my reports from several days ago - he said 'trust me, I know it can take them 30 days to update'...??? for an inquiry?? well anyway, then we started talking about credit stuff and I told him to come visit us here at CreditNet! We could use a Fleet person here I figure. Apparently he's got some credit issues he's working on himself. Very nice, helpful guy. Anyway, went on a tangent there, but call back - keep calling until you get an answer you like. =-) Ozzy.
