Numbers for Citi and Amex

    I applied for both today and I got the dreaded "we'll let you know". EQ is at 700 with no baddies, EX is at 679 with 1 paid off baddie from 1996. Anyone have the telephone numbers to find out status?

    Amex new accounts number 18009627227

    Not that I have a need for it at the present moment. I have it in my Wish for Amex file for use in about 6 months, unless god strikes the CRAs and deletes my student loans. And yes I would wish that on them. (lol)

    Is that the right number? My call won't go through. Is everyone tying up the lines calling mom?

    that was the number they gave me
    you can call amex customer service and also ask for the number

    i have a number of 1-800-641-2400 and
    1-800-THE-CARD both are automated.

    just hold the line, and you should be transferred to a rep.

    I had trouble with the 800-962-7227 # this week. When you hit the appropriate # it disconnects. The other automated # is 800-600-2583.
