Has anyone had any experience with the nutcase letter on a paid repo. The car was repo'd by Chrysler in 12/97. Experian shows the correct repo date however Equifax and Trans Union shows it as repoed in 2/98 and it has already come back verified. I want to send the nutcase to Chrysler regarding this account but would appreciate any further info or perhaps alternate strategies before I go that route. The account is currently under re-investigation with Equifax and I fear sending the nutcase may alert Chrysler and they will verify again. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Re: Nutcase on Paid Repo Please Adv Robin, I've not seen a Nutcase testimonial involving repo's, so you may be blazing new territory. On the other hand, I wouldn't worry too much about alerting anybody to a CRA reinvestigation, since nowadays practically all CRA disputes are done computer-to-computer without human intervention. On the other hand, to be on the safe side, why not wait to find out the results of the reinvestigation; then, if you don't prevail with that action, try the Nutcase at that point. Doc
Re: Nutcase on Paid Repo Please Adv Doc: I think your right. I will wait until the results of this investigation and then I will hit them with the nutcase series. The funny thing is that the CRA's should delete because the account is actually reporting incorrectly. The repo dates are wrong. Just my luck they will just correct the dates. I do hope they delete though, it is rather old.
