has anyone had any success with the nutcase series on student loans? we have 1 closed/transferred w/ some lates, and 1 open, just consolidated, with some lates. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with the nutcase letters on the closed ones???
Hi, Tracy, check the FAQ and click over to my original posts. The very first success with Nutcase was with student loan accounts (PHEAA). I also think you'll benefit from the background and rationale if you'll take the time! Remember that the Nutcase series is designed for fully paid (closed) accounts. Doc
I don't know if you should use the nutcase letters on the open one... Try a goodwill. I've heard they can be successful sometimes with student loans. With the closed one, I'd say give it a shot. I don't think it could hurt anything. Post your results when you get any as I'd be interested in whether the nutcase series would work for closed/paid student loans.
I have already goodwilled both. I wanted to start nice-hoping to have better luck. Sallie Mae is closed, so I have a few more things to try, but thought I'd nutcase as a last resort. Just wondering if anyone had had any luck with it. I did read the FAQ's, so I knew you had good luck w/ the goodwill, but it just didn't work for me yet. I'm hoping that since the lates aren't that old, I can try the goodwill again in 6 months or so.
Sorry I wasn't clearer: I had luck with Nutcase with PHEAA student loans. That was the first time anybody ever used the Nutcase letter. There are some links in the FAQ related to Nutcase that may prove helpful for you. Good luck. Doc
thanks for the luck. I'm going to need it. I'm saving it as a last resort, but I'm making a 2 month game plan for these 2 loans. We'll see if I have any luck with them, but I'm not holding my breath! LOL
I sent a nutcase on a paid student loan about 3 weeks ago..I got no reply on it yet but as soon as I hear something I will report it to you guys/gals...
