I have tried to file a dispute with the credit bureaus regarding two OC accounts that has many late pays, but these accounts are closed: one paid in full, and the other was not paid in full. They keep coming back as verified. They ere closed 2 years ago. SO what do I do now? A nutcase letter or goodwill letter?

well, can't say as i know much about the legalities of your situation, but in my experience dealing with various companies, you catch more flies with honey. I have had people help me out with disputes simply because I was nice and polite to them. They spend all day getting yelled at by angry clients/ customers, that when someone actually treats them with respect, they bend over backwards to remedy the situation. Hope this helps.

I would stay away from a nutcase letter, unless you are seriously going to seek legal action. I imagine they get nutcase letters all the time and just simply ignore them. I've managed to get things off my report, by providing clear rationale of why the item is inaccurate. I try to stay away from all the legal talk... They already know the laws...
