Greetings all! Stumbled across you guys a few months ago as I continued to research credit repair. I started 1 year ago last month and have gone from a 480 (no active credit and charge offs from 3-4 years prior) to 625 now. It would be much better had I found you guys back then instead of shooting in the dark as I was on my own. I have some old paid in full CA listings that I wanted to get rid of, but they kept getting verified by the CBs, have made three attempts in the past year to no avail. In reading and reading here I found the Nutcase letter and thought "what the hell, it might work..." All "bad" TL were paid in full with out settlement (OUCH!) two years ago except for one. NCO was listed for one TL with different names (NCO Fin., RMA, Risk Management Alternatives) all for the same paid in full debt, multiple times on each report. Nutcase letters were sent certified on Monday (I sent a separate certified letter for each listing (5 of them for the same TL)), they signed for them on Wednesday, and here on Saturday I've already received a response from NCO stating that all accounts they had for my SSN were closed and that I should contact the OCs if I had any questions (dated Wednesday May 3rd). And oh, btw "In addition, please be advised that we have contacted the credit bureaus with which we do business with our request to delete our listing of the above-referenced accounts from your credit profile for the social security number we have listed in our records." The one "active" that I had I told to go get screwed over the phone was for a company that I never did business with and which was incidentally bankrupt and out of business. After finding Creditnet I sent a DV letter, (contact only by mail, no phone calls to work, home etc or I'll sue); no response from them for two months now, but the TL was removed when I looked last week before sending out the Nutcase letters. I wanted to pass along my thanks for the information that you all have posted here. You have changed the pen knife I was fighting with into a CA slaying sword. Thanks again! James.
That's great Jigsaw! I too have learned alot from reading the board and have made some significant gains in the credit repair process. My goal is the 700 club by the end of the year.
