I'm sending out a nutcase letter to sallie mae tomorrow, does anyone have a contact name to send it to. I woiuld rather put someones name on them, than just send them to random CSR's. If not a name, is there a dept that's better for this? I have an address, and a fax number. I can try to fax it too, if I don't get a response from the CRRR.

Here is the address I have for their "Legal Department."

    Sallie Mae Services
    Corporate Borrower Services
    PO Box 4200
    Wilkes-Barre, PA 18773-4200
    Phone #1-888-545-4199

What's your situation with Sallie Mae? In mine, I couldn't get any results out of them until I sent a 2nd intent to sue with a filled out small claims form with a very lengthy complaint. It was for violations of the FCRA.

Mine is actually my hubbys forbearance problem. We got a retroactive forbearance, and now want them to delete the lates on his CR. We have a letter from them stating that his account was in forbearance from this date to that date, which are the same dates as his lates on his CR. I'm hoping that the nutcase, and CHOD will do the trick! I don't know if the legal dept is what I need just yet, but I'm saving it if it comes down to an intent to sue. I don't want to though, I'm too chicken!!

Since you have this letter, have you tried Goodwill? If you haven't, maybe that would be the way to go first. You could do a nice goowill letter, and attach the forbearance letter, etc.

It can't hurt, and if it doesn't work, move on to the Nutcase a month or two later.

Yes, unfortunately I did try the goodwill letter. It's paid though, and they wanted nothing to do with me. I don't want to start the nutcase series, because I feel like once I get nasty, there's no turning back. But, I feel like there is no other alternative. I'm having the same problem w/ Nelnet, but that account is still open, so nutcase isn't for them! Apparently goodwill isn't either. This retroactive forbearance isn't all it's cracked up to be!

Good Luck! They have been reporting negative connotations on my report and Good Ole TU
refused to give me a name of a contact person(ie the person who is verifying bogus info) So I
called the corporate office and didn't they tell me the same thing, they had no name(yeah right).

I found a few on my own though here's the URL:http://www.nepa.bbb.org/commonreport.html?compid=10012664
