According to NYS Tax Law - Tax Warrant Liens that are filed are "Equivalent to a money judgment as defined in the NYS-CPLR sec blah blah, etc".

The lien would have to be nenewed before the first 10 years had passed in order to be valid for an additional 10 years.

    Questions:
    1. Can judgments in general (whether paid or not) come off a credit report in 7 years?

2.Since the law states that the lien is "equivalent to a money judgement" does anyone here agree with my opinion that the lien (whether paid or not) should come off a credit report not 7 years from when paid, but 7 years from when the lien was filed?
(since when filed it becomes a "money judgment" )
