Observation on disputing

In trying to get things accomplished I have noticed a pattern...

When I dispute over the phone I tend to get all the items actually in the dispute (and I've gotten a better removal ratio)

But if I send a letter I can count on half (or on the worst items) being ignored completely...

Then when they ignore, they want to start "again". Ugh. So the mail works great for documenting errors to sue later... but on the phone I get lots corrected the first time.

Anyone else experience better results over the phone?
