I obtained a judgment against Lindy's Collection Service/Credit Bureau of New Ulm, MN, never lived there but they pulled a non-pp inquiry as well as have a check listed on my equifax, so I sued them, they were served properly, and the courts here in MD gave me a default judgment against them for $3520.00, the owner, Jeff Grenolds has refused to speak to me or return my phone calls from day one, even after I got the judgment, I offered to vacate it if he would pay $1500.00 and remove the trade, still never called back. So I called the clerk of Brown Co, MN, and they were helpful, said send $242.00 to localize the foreign judgment and they would open it up on their docket. At this point, once that is done (they said they would add the $242.00 fee to the judgment amount), what do I do? This guy obviously wont respond to me, and he obviously thinks this is some sort of game..with me being in MD and all... Can I use the contempt powers of Court to Compel him to answer where his bank is and serve a levy upon the bank? Any help, I have never dealt with a default judgment.
how do I "compel" them to divuldge their bank account information, I guess I could have someone send a check, and hopefully they would cash it, and I could find out that way.
Re: Re: obtained judgment, what next? HELP! The Marshall or Sheriff of that county in MN will know how to proceed, give them a call once the judgment is domesticated in MN
