Fingerhut was sent a request for validation 3 weeks ago.

They have not updated any TL's on my reports to reflect that I am disputing them, instead...

They send it to "Plaza Associates" which on the letter looks like it is an internal Fingerhut CA. I say this because in small type in the middle of nowhere it says Axsys National Bank Fingerhut. This letter is a settlement offer from $239 to $191.

I already disputed with the CRA's.

    What do I do now???

    Fingerhut reporting?

What did the letter from Plaza say? Any FDCPA blurbs?

Who did you, or did you send a validation out?

    Fingerhut is the one reporting

A settlement offer: Please be advised that we are a professional collection agency. We have been authorized to offer you the opportunity to settle this account with a lump sum payment for 80% of the balance due, which is equal to $191.54.
This offer will be valid for 30 days from the date of this letter Oct 3rd 2003.
Unless you notify in thirty days....assume the debt is valid.....mini miranda.

I sent val to fingerhut and this is the response I get....From a CA that never reported or at the very least even tryed to collect. They are trying to mess with me I can just feel it.

"30 days from the date of this letter"

    Anything other than;

"30 days from the date of RECEIPT of this letter"

    Is a violation.

    Yes, its a conspiracy...

You sent a validation to Fingerhut (who doesn't have to validate), and they said geez, we sent this to a CA, lets forward Snakey's letter to them.

CA says wow! Snake crawled out from the rock he was hiding under. Lets send him a dunning letter.

Snake now gets to spend $4.42 more on his wife's credit card and gets to resend validation to the CA.

YES I DO, AND YES I DID!!

I already know what they are gonna do when they get that letter. They said they will send it back to the OC and then the OC will forward the "verification" to me. I tried arguing with them about that but to no avail. They are the CA, THEY need to send the verification to me. These jerks always.....I mean always try to have their cake and eat it too.

    Man on a mission...
