I have a couple of paid chargeoffs & was wondering what violations you can catch them on??? From my reading it seems that they are not required to validate like with the collection agencies but if you dispute something with them they cannot report it???????? And they cannot pull your credit without authorization????? Is there anything else to look for when dealing with them??? My plan is to send the Nutcase letter series, that seems to be my only choice. Also, I have an active account that has been current for some time but had some serious lates a few years ago, should I try the Nutcase letter series on that also or should I close the account & try it??? Sorry this is long but I'm new & don't want to mess anything up in the process!!!

    Thanks

Okay, well I guess I will try the Nutcase letter series and and see what happens & post with the results although I am not sure what violations I can threaten to sue them with when I get the responses other than if they pull my credit to see what I complaining about!!! Let me know if I am even on the right track here!!!!!!!

    Thanks

depending on who the OC is, you might want to start with the Goodwill series first. You can always graduate to the Nutcase series. After all, you do catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

The original creditors are Capitol One (They have since given me another credit card) and Conseco Finance!!! Don't know if that helps or not!
