i requested validation with a ca well today the original creditor a dentist office they want me to sign a release allowing them to release the information to collection agency because of hippa. can anyone tell me what i should do? fyi the account is paid i just want it to go away
For God's sake don't sign the release! The validation must come from the dentist to the ca. If the ca can't validate, they must delete.
If the account is paid, what is a Collection Agency doing with it? Do not sign the release - the only info the doctor shoud give the CA is that the account is paid and he doesn't heed hippa authorization to release THAT.
