I know in this day we are all jumping for joy when we get a deletion, however, I am trying to get a positive added back to all 3 CR's by the OC. It was deleted during verification with the CRA because it was listed as "included in bankruptcy" when it had been reaffirmed during my BK7 2 yrs ago. I am on my 3rd letter to them, going on 90 days and nothing is happening. I am not happy! I know OC's are not really bound by much these days and not obligated to report anything, however it was deleted in error! This was a loan that is now paid off, not late once and reaffirmed. DANG!! Anyone have any ideas on what I can hit the OC with? My letters had gotten very hardcore but it doesn't seem to be affecting them one bit! SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!
Ummm. They are NOT required to report. Apparently they or a CRA was notified that it was being reported incorrectly and they deciced to delete. This is definately within their rights. The only hope you have is to very politely request they add it back.
Re: Re: OC Won't Re-Report I am aware of this, as I stated in my initial post. However, I asked them to verify and CORRECT it, not delete. I am sure that the OC did not verify in time so it got deleted. I did ask them politely 3 times, getting more firm each time. There has got to be something that protects me on this. The OC is probably the one that F'd up here. **This is definately within their rights?--How do you figure? I am unclear how.
Re: Re: Re: OC Won't Re-Report George Being lazy, as long as they follow the law, is not illegal or punishable by $1,000 penalty.
Re: Re: Re: OC Won't Re-Report They have no responsibility to you other than to follow the law. From what you described they definately did follow the law. The fact that you asked them to correct has no bearing on it. It was their choice to either correct it or delete it. They chose to delete it. That is why we always recommend people to NOT dispute lines they do not want to lose.
