That information is false. It must be some type of urban legend as others have suggested. Even if asbestos was used in tampons, I doubt that it would cause someone to bleed any more than they would naturally during that time of the month. Asbestos is simply a mineral that is a good insulator. Thus, on a positive note, I guess it would prevent any burns or fires from occuring during that time of the month.

My main job is as my name states....

Full-time milk producer..... lol I crack me up, but it's true.

In between production, I focus on CREDITNET and my husband's credit reports.

My husband is a CCIE to be. He has taken the written and now has to study like heck for the lab; cisco engineer here we come!!!! He is a real internet and download junkie. I just know that we will be raided any day now.....

We are both Illini alums so go fighting Illini!!!

I want to go to law school to focus on consumer law because I am tired of the regular people getting pushed around, so I am studying part-time for the LSAT.

6 months from now...... who knows.... :)

Old ones would not burn very well, so I guess it will be new ones. I wonder if the ones with fragrance have a higher level of asbestos? I want to get the most bang for my buck :)

I knew I would get that reaction from somebody...

C'mon not all of us are heartless and greedy. I got into the music biz because I was once in a band that went nowhere and wanted to WORK in the film biz. Little did I expect to spend 15+ years in the music biz and work a little bit in film on the side.

Asbestos litigation, talk about milking the COWS DRY

After I read the article in FORTUNE magazine, it's

no wonder Attorneys are despised, all those people

got millions just for being "around" asbestos or

recognizing the brand name, what a disgrace, the

real victims are going to be the losers here.

I helped work on Maritime Asbestos litigation in the late 80's/early 90's....Actually, the only losers were the estates of the losers.
