Odd thought about pulling reports

I'm just sitting here and wondering to myself...

Which report are you pulling? If Joe Consumer is willing to let some creditor pull a report, don't you think we should know, beforehand, which report they're pulling? And shouldn't the Creditor be Required (by law) to inform us of the CRA before they run a credit check?

I'm sure the Andersen report from !!! 1992 !!! (97% of consumer credit reports are Accurate) was a finely written piece of investigative material but still...

I'm wondering if the FTC or Congress has looked into a measure which requires PRE - APPLICATION disclosure. There are 3 Major CRAS and a handful of affiliates - the potential for erroneous reporting is mind boggling. And, frankly, I think the consumer should have the choice of shopping around for creditors that use a "Consumer Friendly" CRA when they apply for credit.

    Thoughts?

    Sure, I could dig it.

kinda like comparison shopping for the right CRA.....

I don't want to do business with you because you are affiliated with (pull) TU/EX/EQ/ICS/Whoever
