Hi I just got an offer from First USA Titsnium Visa. What are the chances of getting this card if I apply. They let you transfer balances from other cards. I was thinking of getting it to transfer my balance from my Bank of MArin card. Should I apply? It has a offer code in my name also. Is this just a random or mass mailing or something I pre-quailfied for?

RE: Offer from First USA Titsn I applied and I had a BK from 1992 with otherwise perfect credit from 1992 on and was denied! I called them first after I had gotten the offer to ask if they do approve people with past BK's (older than 7 years) because I didn't want to waste my time or an inquiry, and they said yes. Evidently the lied! Sam hit it on the nose, if you have past credit problems forget this card. chet

RE: Offer from First USA Titsn If you can qualify for FirstUSA, you can qualify for other cards with far better terms - note the "goto" rate on First USA is over 16%... EVERY OTHER major bank issuer is lower (BofA 9.99, Amex 10.9, Fleet 10.5, Citi 12.9, Chase 11.49, USBank 12.99, NextCard 9.9, Providian 9.9....)
