Oh My F* Gosh!!!!

    Oh Erica, I do not blame you one bit for being peeved...this piddly/annoying stuff never happens on days when you can plan for an irritating event, y'know?!

    Seriously, everyone else had great ideas...call and politely explain and ask for a fee reversal, which I know you said you're going to do. And with moving, you've got a good reason for getting close to the credit limit like you said--no mail and not being at work, if for some reason you get a testy CSR who questions why you went over.

    My husband had the same thing happen with a Cap One card years ago--over the limit, but they wouldn't reverse the fee. I think now they are more flexible; this was like the mid-1990s. But he also didn't have any other reason than poor recordkeeping (meaning yours is more of a valid reason with moving and all). I think they even told him to write a letter and explain the situation to see if they could consider a reversal--and now they reverse fees by phone so I am sure it's different.

    Hope things get better...they do, but when I have a bad week/month/year I wonder what else can go wrong!!
