Whether they can prevail in court depends on whether it is past the SOL. That is not the same as the 7 year period for reporting on CRs, and depends on state law and the type of debt.

The SOL in washington for credit card debt is 6 years.... its een 6 yrs to the month pretty much, i think one of the cards was 6 years 2 months or something.. theres' 3 total, totalling $4000

But though i was served today, the dates on the paperwork of the summons range from may of this year to August... So do you know, does the SOL count from when i'm served? arghghgh!

    thanks,

well after being served with arbitration a few months ago, and disputing it with case law I was presented today with a letter stating they awarded the coplaintant with a judgement... so I guess disputing a claim doesn't work....
