I disputed an open car loan late paymenr and some late mortgage payments on TU. They added a bunch of lates to the car loan and deleted the open mortgage which is my oldest acct. What to do now??
Spyke, thanks for starting the thread about it. I wanted to do the same about TU deleting an AU account after I disputed a balance. This is the oldest account. Anyone? Do not mean to steal the thread just have similar question.
It may be that with careful analyzation and maybe a law suit or two you might be able to get yourself back on track. There are a few folks who have managed to twist the original creditor's arm sufficiently that they would put it back on but not many have had any success at that either. One or another at best. Most folks just suffer the blow and have to live with it. The real problem here is that in attempting to repair one's credit one is attempting to move in equity that which can rightfully be moved only in law. The result should always be a disaster but luckily many get away with such errors in judgment and then help spread the word about how easy it was and how cheaply they did it and ensnare others into following their footsteps on such iniquitious paths. I am truly sorry, but I am afraid that I have no suggestions for you with which you might remedy your situation. Go ye and sin no more!!!(LOL) On a more serious note, I have long said that attempting to fiddle with the credit bueaus is little more than an exercise in frustration and an insult to human intelligence. I am sorry that I cannot help you out of your predicament but there probably isn't a whole lot you can do about it from what I read in this and other forums.
Bill, I have been on this board for nearly a year. It appears that when the bulk of the "veterans" left a month or so ago, you suddenly reappeared in spades! From all I can read about your history, you were considered to have less than optimum advice. Fiddling with your CR or CRAs is an exercise in frustration? Yes, it is frustrating. However, I have been VERY successful using the advice of the previous veterans! In less than 1 year I have gone from totally derrog reports to reports that are predominantly positive with little to no derrogs! I have successfully removed BKs, judgement, tax lien 15 collection accounts and had 7 current accts go from containing late pays to PAA! It works if you use the law. It simply takes time and persistance. I am in the middle of moving to Jax, FL so I can only log on during the weekends when I am here in SC. I have seen the caliber of the advice on this site sink to near worthlessness!!!!! I guess I am lucky that I came here last April! I had my tri bureau pulled by the mortgage company. I had TU 698, EQ 687 EX 635. I am going to close on a brand new house on the 19th and I have the veterans to thank for that! To everyone else on this board, it CAN BE DONE and it is definitely worth the time and trouble!!!!
TU did the same sort of thing to me about five months ago. I disputed one account and they investigated and deleted a completely different mortgage account that was in perfect standing. I emailed Don Richman and he fixed the problem. I heard that he has since moved to a different department and is no longer taking consumer complaints. I think you should call their customer service number and raise bloody hell. Ask to speak to a manager. If you don't get results, go to small claims and invest $35 and sue them. Serve them and send a settlement letter demanding a resolution to the problem in exchange for dropping the lawsuit. It should get the results you are looking for. TU does not like litigation, especially when they know that they are in the wrong.
Yes. But then nobody ever gave me much of an opportunity to voice much of any advice. Everybody was totally and completely enthralled with the John Gliha ideas espoused by one of his cheer leaders and anyone knowing and tellng the truth about the con artist and his magic silver bullet had to be some kind of dumbo whose ideas were to be shot down at all costs. Since then a few thousand more people have been neatly ripped off for about $2 or $3 thousand apiece or more only to find themselves losers in court too. Nobody wanted to listen to common sense answers back then and there are those present today who still don't want to listen to them. Nothing new. Not only that, as the posts of so many here have proven it can end up causing one to lose their good tradelines along with their bad ones and maybe instead of their bad ones. Some posters have related how their records were hidden and they ended up with no credit history at all as far as they or anybody else could find and many more horror stories. But all it takes is someone claiming great victories to make everybody forget about all the horror stories that go along beside the victories. Problem is that the newbies are not usually going to go digging through the history to see the horror stories. They will ignore them when the see a few posts telling about some victory or other and believe they have found the modern day equivalent of Excaliber the magic sword which will slay their enemies. Great! Obviously it can work. I have never said that it don't work. And there are circumstances in which it is the only way to get the job done. There is no such thing as a one size fits all solution to the problem. You have just admitted that in your own statement. You said you only have a few derogs left. So your methods are not the total answer and neither are mine. Both have their time and their place. The big difference is that your post seems to be trying to claim that the method you used is the one and only answer that is easy to do and will solve just about all the problems anybody might have and that mine must therefore be some kind of junk science put out by some idiot once shot out of the saddle hopefully never to be heard from again. I don't make such wild-eyed claims. My methods aren't magic and they won't solve everybody's problems in one fell swoop. I don't run around trying to put others down using obvious slams and ad hominum attacks but I do respond when attacked and I usually do so in no uncertain terms. I think you should also remember that and temper your remarks a bit. It should be understood by all that there is usually room for multiple means of attacking one's problems and that every possible option should be carefully considered. And it is often desireable to approach problems using diverse methods at the same time as long as they don't conflict with one another. One other thing should also be obvious and that is that those who believe in the idea of spamming credit bureaus to accomplish their goals will be espousing their opinions and those who have other ideas will be espousing their ideas and the appearance is that they are mutually exclusive which is a misleading concept at best. So just as we should leave attacking each other to the flame boards which are devoted to seeing who is most expert at slamming the other fellow we should attempt to look at all methods that are presented and use whatever will work at any given time or in any given situation. This board should be about getting the job done, not slamming each other. That is why you won't see such crap as this on my message board. I won't allow it. It has no useful or constructive purpose.
Bill, the thing is you reply to so many posts and really have nothing to say! You just kinda rip people and try to cause problems. There is a word for that type of person and I think you know what it is. If you have no info on a subject, then don't reply!
Oh my goodness, another doo-doo post. Why don't you go tell that to some who have 5 or 10 thousand or more posts? You can't find one single solitary person who can honestly claim that I have ever ripped them off. If you could they would be all over this board claiming I treated them unfairly but you can't find even one. You had best be careful of what you accuse others of having done with no basis in fact to back you up. Since when is providing common sense answers to problems trying to cause problems? There are always words and phrases for anything one wishes to find fault with. I shall remember that in the future equally as well as I always have in the past. I readily admit that I don't have answers to all questions and I don't even bother to post answers about those subjects which I know nothing about and even get faulted for that. Were I you I would be certain that I was not attacking that which I know little or nothing about as well.
If you guys run a search for "Don Richman" you will find info on his replacement. When this type of thing occurs, you contact that person, and it CAN be fixed - HAS been fixed, in every case - if you know who to contact. I know, the grammar is bad.
Excuse me, Breeze but I fail to understand how that has anything to do with the excellent information presented in your post. Yeah yeah, I know. It's one of those CYA thingies. (LOL) Have a nice day.
Re: Re: OH NO!!! Help! Me personally, not that my opinion means much, I have nothing against Bill, but one thing is for sure, I avoid subjects that he posts on b/c I read the first sentence or 2 and cannot fathom reading the rest for the simple fact I do not have a CLUE what he is talking about, but hey, people call me clueless anyway so who am I to say?
I'm not BILL'S buddy by any means...BUT he does not need to be RIPPED by a nubie that has 37 posts!!!
Re: Re: OH NO!!! Help! tnobles: I'll tell you something. I really appreciate posts like yours. You voiced your thoughts and you told us how you feel and you didn't rip me in the process. All you did was give your honest opinion and did so without a slam or a personal insult. I appreciate that. I'll have to work on my style and see if I can improve it somehow although each of us does have our own personal writing styles and often it can be real tough to change. Thanks for your comments.
Re: Re: Re: OH NO!!! Help! If I ever get stupid enough to do that I would deeply appreciate your clicking on my email link and sending me a private email and give me a chance to either explain myself or apologize or whatever needs to be done. Either email me or call me on the phone. I'm always glad to talk to folks whether they agree with me or not. Disagreements do surface from time to time. That is normal in the course of human events but I feel that if adults have a problem between themselves and it is serious enough to warrant doing so then it would be much better to try to work out difference in private email rather than destroying the board with a bunch of yik-yak.
