Gulf State not only reinserted the deleted info...they ALSO decided to report the same account as OSI so now they have the same account listed under two of their names. I think its time to file a complaint!!!! They just made a huge mistake! L

Have you sent gulf state any validation letters? If you have and they haven't responded, call the 800 # and ask for the compliance dep't. Tell them you have requested validation of the debt and they have failed to provide it. Also, advise them that re-reporting it is a violation of the FDCPA. This just happened to me. When I called he told me they had no proof and were closing their books on the acct. and deleting it from the cra's. I got my letter stating such on Saturday.
I was going to give that a try, LKH...just as soon as I had finished typing up the complaint. I was trying to decide which would be most effective...just calling them and saying "look...we have a problem and your violations so far include..." or just faxing the complaint and saying "if this is not resolved today, the attached complaint will be filed tomorrow morning". Last time I actually spoke on the telephone to someone at Gulf State, they wouldn't even let me get a word in edgewise...lol. L
